I have noticed that myself. Black folks can talk about how racist white folks are all day, but when it's the other way around, it's unfathomable.

I've seen racism in all sorts. Usually it's because of one of three reasons:
1) To fit in with his/her "clique." What better way to gain acceptance to a group of individuals than show you believe in the same ideals? These very ideals might even be something you don't believe in whole-heartedly, but you want to belong so bad.
2) Upbringing. If your father was a member of the Nation of Islam and taught you the ways of the "white man" (not to say the Nation of Islam promotes racism), then you will have a preconceived idea that will be hard to change. Your mentor, which might very well be your idol, has taught you important lessons in your life. Now tell me how you would feel if someone told you everything you learned since childhood is wrong. It's like trying to work on an engine that's running - it isn't easy.
3) A traumatic event. Sometimes all it takes is one person to screw things up. A person that is connected through a crime, or maybe even a simple betrayal of friendship, will be viewed by the person affected, through schock, as all people of the same color, background, or origin are all predisposed to commit the same act. This will cause rise to stereotypes if enough people believe in the same reasons. This act might only happen very seldomly, but when it does, the stereotype lives on because that one event just proved to the affected person that it has to be true.
Now, I am not giving excuses, but merely my viewpoint of why people would think this way. I remember reading a line from one of the "Demotivator" posters and it read: "Idiocy - Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups."

I am the same way. I hate the N word and think it is ignorant. I have had many black friends and a couple of lovers as well. But I have seen my share of "reverse racism", as it is called. It is all racism to me, but when a white person says something it is an abomination. When a person of black or latin or other race does something racist, it is just blown off because we probably deserve it for being so racist ourselves... It's sad really.
BUT not everybody is like that. So we musn't generalize.

Why do everything have to be a black and white thing? Are the two groups the only cultural groups in the world?

Its like the Kramer incident, if you have seen the video he goes WAY to far with the N word, at the same time, the individual is yelling back craker and other just as equaly racist terms, but the only one who is forced to publicly apologyze and pay 100,000 in damages was "kramer". It is the same where I live where it is mainly Mexicans, they look at whites as racists and holding them back while calling them names "pinche gringo racista" it doesn't make sense.

Yeah it's a double standard. I could say any slur I want about white people, but if I mention a slur about blacks people everyone is outraged.
