I know this is a virtually impossible question to answer but i've narrowed it down to two, either Johnny Borrell or Carl Barat. What do you think?

I don't agree - I think Johnny and Carl are just part of a group, where each member plays an equal part. A true front man surpasses the group they are a part of - for example, Bono's legend surpasses U2. Not as if I think he's the best front man, or anything, but that's when you know a front man is truly great.
If I had to vote for anyone, I'd go with Dave Grohl, or Pete Doherty.

This is one darn tough question and arguably impossible to draw a conclusion that is going to appease everyone. Even though here are my best guesses:
A really close race among Brian Johnson , Ozzy osbourne, Bruce Dickinson, Steve Harris and Axl Rose (the latter if he is still alive)

After 20 something years Depeche Mode's lead man Dave Gahan is still the best. He is an amazing entertainer.
