A family member is interested in trapping and snaring. I've researched the online stores, and I've been to the local bookstores, but no one has any knowledge of the subject so it's hard to recommend one resource over another.
What books would you recommend? Also, would the book be best for just reading at home, or would it be practical to bring the book out with you?

I'm a hunter and I recommend not trapping...it's very inhumane. If you are going to kill an animal, do it quick and clean.

I recommend you don't trap.
