I have a floppy disc with some important documents on it but when I put the disc in my computer to retrieve the documents this message comes up " Windows cannot find AcroRd.exe this program is needed for opening files of "Max File". I went to Acrobat web site but they no longer offer this program. Is there some way I can get these documents back? Can someone help me please?

I would make sure you have an update copy of Acrobat Reader on your computer. Instead of opening the documents the floppy, copy them to your desktop and open them from there.

Acrord.exe file is Adobe Reader, which is able on Adobe's web site

Go to adobe and down the latest version of the Adobe Reader (believe it is version 7). It is free and will be able to open earlier version of adobe PFD files.

I would open a file explorer (right click "START" and left click "EXPLORE") and pull the floppy file(s) as copies, over to the hard drive to their own folder.

Then, you can read it, later, after you install the Adobe Reader! http://adobe.com

or, run the FREE readers in the LiveCDROM http://pclinuxos.com
(you can read files that might contain viruses, when you boot in the CDrom, and run in RAM, without them invading your hard drive!)

It's telling you to install Adobe's Acrobat Reader, and yes they still offer it. Get it here:

Download FoxIt reader, it's smaller and faster than Adobe Reader. It will open the PDF file you want to open.
