Ok, ok... so it's not THAT big of a deal. But, as I sit and ponder myself now and who/where I thought I would be when I was a child/teenager, it is as if I am on another planet. Plans don't equal happiness, I understand that now. What I thought would happen was not, of course, what did happen. And I am happier for what it truly is, MY life.... all the good and all the bad makes it perfect.
But, I have to ask those coming close, like myself, and those who have passed over this hill of age.... What are some things you would suggest I try to do/see/experience before I am 30?

Ok, I am looking for a little bit more insight and ideas. No sarcasm, thank you.

Also, for those who are confused... I didn't say I was tramatized by being 30, just wanted to get the ideas flowing. It is just MY next milestone.

Everything... fulfill all your plans hopes and dreams before you hit 30, then you'll have the rest of you life to ponder it all and reflect because life is pretty much over after 30, but hurry, you're running out of time.

30!! You are still young BUT it is time to start thinking about the things you want to do in your lifetime. At 40, I sat down and made a list of the 40 things I wanted to do, see or experience before I died. At 50, I made a new list of 50 more items which I have almost completed. In 3 years when I am 60 there will be a new list. I can't make your list for you. You have to make your own.

Items that were on my list for ideas.
Visit Australia
Go Cliff jumping into a raging river.
Enjoy my Grandchildren!! I needed a little help for this one!!
See a live Boston Bruin game.
Swim in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.

If there's a particular country you've been dying to see forever, stop making excuses and start making plans! I'm only 24, but I've never been out of the country because I was too lazy to make plans and step out of my comfort zone. My fiancé and I decided to stop making excuses and decided to finally plan a trip to Austrialia. I'm terrified and excited all at once. If you think money would be a problem, there's always a way around that. Try putting a little of every paycheck away into a savings accound made specially for this vacation. Start looking into how you can travel the country on a tight budget.

I think this could be a potentially exciting adventure for you. :)

I am almost 29 and I have recently started learning to play the bass guitar. I had been wanting to learn an instrument for a long time, so I just decided it was time to stop putting it off and go ahead and learn. I am getting pretty good at it as well. Maybe you would enjoy traveling too. Or maybe pick up a new hobby or sport that you never thought you would ever do. My brother took up white water rafting & rock repelling just after he hit his 30's.

First off, thats not old like that guy said. Second off, do something that you have always wanted to do!!!! Like learn how to play an instrument, take on a hobby that has always interested you, and just make time for yourself. If you have found yourself, then great! It should be alot easier to tackl other projects then. Good luck and have a blast!

30 isn't the milestone it used to be.

50 is the new 30, and 30 is the new 20.

You're not getting older, you're getting better.

Lighten up and enjoy what you've got.

you do or see or expeirience the things that matter to you...we (on here) cannot tell you what to do you have to find your own way and do what you like to do. use your heart and decide for yourself what is important or what you have always wanted to do. good luck=)
