I think the media would be just as excited if it was Powell running. True history in the making happening here and now. I don't care what letter is behind the name.

No. It's only because he has a D after his name that the Liberal Media like him so much.

Hell no. The liberal media has indoctrinated this country into thinking (R) is tantamount to a curse word with nothing but negative connotations behind it. Just look at the idiot libs regurgitate their hatred for everything American, parroting CNN and Jon Stewart

heh, R is the new scarlet letter... it doesn't matter how good someone is/looks.. that letter is a mark for failure in the coming election... don't get me wrong.. I don't think all republicans are bad or wrong.. I'm actually dating a moderate republican (I'm a moderate Democrat) .. but the Bush administration has smeared the republican party's name for a while to come.

If he was Republican, they'd be calling him a token, and the Democrats would be calling him an Uncle Tom and a house n*****.
Aren't liberals tolerant?

Yes, because he's not "white". The whole "R" or "D" wouldn't make any difference.
