Don't believe the hype.... Flat screens are not made out of egg shells and newborn babies...They can be cleaned normally.

I use foaming ammoniated glass cleaner from an aerosol can.

Your enemy is drips and flows of liquid to the inside. So be very careful.

I generally use a fresh towel or cloth baby diaper (they are the best). I almost always spray a little cleaner on the cloth, then wipe the screen somewhat gently.

All this nonsense about brushes and special cleaners, I just don't understand. A monitor is made of plastic and glass. It can be cleaned just like a mirror or a TV.

Just don't use harsh chemicals or let it drip inside.

At the electronic store or even in Walmart they sell these special wipes that have a small amount of liquid that will clean the screens without scratching the screens..I use them on my 60" TV and all my monitors..About $5 for a container..

The best option would be a lint-free, dry cloth. Many computer/electronics stores sell products specifically for cleaing flat screens. However, if you don't want to dish out the cash for something like that, a good option would be any soft cloth. Make sure, however, that you don't use any liquid as it tends to seep into the cracks between the screen and the case.

Do not use any regular cleaners, but instead buy a cleaner at one of the retail stores (Circuit City, Best Buy, etc.) that sells flat screen monitors. I have used one of these wipes, and it worked really well.

I use a diluted Windex solution and a soft hand towel. Just remember to not put much pressure on the screen. The Windex will help dissolve the gunk so that you don't need much pressure.

Spray the Windex on the cloth and then apply so that it doesn't drip.

I always use an electronic wipe on my flat screen. It's fast and keeps it completely dust-free.
