I think men are more likely to regret what they didn't do as I have regretted so much that I haven't done rather than what I have though obviously I have done both. Strangely they are both the same thing because if you regret the way you did do something then you must regret the way you didn't do something if you see what I mean. Great question, I'd never heard that theory before.

Yup, it's false... but recently it seems that some people have started saying it's better to regret something you did do than something you didn't do... I don't agree... I mean, regrets are a given in life, because it's impossible to do the 'right' thing all the time- partly because it's hard to define right and wrong, partly because it's hard to control your own actions even if you know what's right... anyway, if that holds true, then it's better to just keep a level head, and be happy with what you get. That's my feeling...

I always reckon it's better to regret the things you don't do rather than the things you do. I suppose it depends really on what sort of things you get upto.
I'll never regret not being a drug user but some people have used drugs and may feel differently. Who knows, great question.

Welcome to Generalisation City!
Totally false!
Everybody regrets did and didn't.
It seems like didn't is more because we live with effects of did and can put a positive spin on any bad outcomes. (That's human nature.)
Your gender specificity is just woolly science.
