Controversy paper need more positive ideas for cloning humans.?
OKay okay I know many of you probably think cloning is bad and have 101 reasons why it should not be done. I have that part of the paper done. However I need more ideas on how cloning (for the purpose of a human) would benefit society. Anything no matter how small why would it be good to clone people? Please I know all the negative theories and thoughts already I need to make my paper equally strong on both sides regardless of your or my thoughts and this topic was provided to me I did not get to select it. So please I need some benefits of cloning people. Thank you any help is much appreciated.

Thanks for the input amy but if we brought back einstein which we couldnt because we do not have one of his "living cells" but he would not be einstein. He would have the same genetic make-up and would look the same but he may never be interested or open up a science book so that does not

I agree with spare parts. >It can save lives. A persons body may not agree with the parts recieved from another person and could lead to further complications. There is often a huge waiting list for organs and people can not afford to wait. If you could clone your own parts for a perfect fit, then no problems. The fact that it can save a loved one outwieghs all negative points (in my opinion).

Hope this helps a little!!

Love your I.D. name, sounds freakishly familiar.

I guess I agree with everyone else...immediate benefit to cloning that I can think of readily is the "spare parts" theory...Soldiers returning from war need not worry about missing limbs, diabetics could have healthy pancreases implanted, cancer patients could potentially have the diseased cells removed and healthy ones inserted...hell we might have even found the cure for aging, if a human brain could be transplanted from an aged and failing body into a younger, healthier one...

The "slave race" issue also has to be addressed...I know it's a touchy one, but it should be considered...How much ready made cheap labor would there be? Since "clone rights" would probably be AGES behind "human rights" minimum wage, working hours, working conditions and even child labor laws would probably not apply to them. This leaves all sorts of room for corporations to maneuver...and do you think the general public will care about a few clones when they can suddenly purchase the newest hottest clothes, cars or televisions for a fraction of the cost, since the manufacturers overhead is now so low?

I would have to think that it would also become apparant through cloning how to further manipulate human genes, and possibly eliminate things like cancer, AIDS, alzheimers and parkinsons from the human race altogether. Cloning would also give us more access to "human" test subjects, which would greatly increase the amount of research and study currently done on the human brain, mapping the human genome and understanding the human immune system.

I hope this all helps your paper...good luck.

The question is what is the nature of our existence?

Are we physical matter of spiritual energy? Cloning only recreates the physical matter. It may not determine the spirit energy.

It would be like building a car exactly the same as your neighbors and expecting to find the same driver behind the wheel.

I believe cloning new parts for an existing body could be helpful, positive, to the injured or disable person. But to clone a completely new body?....I think that just adds to over-population.

There could be multiples of ME.

Are people seriously using "spare parts" as a GOOD reason for cloning? Could you all be a little more selfish? You all realize that when the heart of one of the "spares" is harvested, the spare dies, right?

Serious cloning goods... only one I can think of is that we could create a superior race of only smart, beautiful people. It might eliminate some of the complete idiocy in the world (as exhibited above). Otherwise, I cannot see a single good thing about cloning. And I mean cloning in any form, not just human.

Ok, here's a good... we can each have a clone to do the work we do not want to do? Of course, that relegates and entire class of humans to "slaves" again and we already did that... honestly, I cannot think of a single positive to cloning that isn't deluged with negatives.

krnsspott has a point.

We could find healthy people and clone their organs so there would be no more organ donation shortages. Maybe create them as they are needed, no surplus.
