Okay I am 7 months pregnant and went to the bathroom yesterday and wiped away bright bright red blood. Not too much of it but only once. Went to the bathroom since and am fine. I called my doctor today and am going in for an ultrasound at 3PM. However, have any of you mom's had bleeding and everything turned out to be okay? It is not normal is it? Thank you

Bright red blood after whipping is general hemrroids. My wife had them seriously like. They should go away after birth, but you may have them for a while yet. Do not be concerned, pregnancy and weight gain is a cause of hemrroids.

i had some bleeding with my last daughter and the doctor said that everything was normal and my baby was fine, i had 3 ultrasounds and everything fine, supposeably, but the day after i had my baby she stopped breathing and we found out she was born with half a heart, when she was 1 week old she had heart surgery and then at 6 months she is 15 months old now and doing good, but the ultrasound dont not detect anything.

the only bleeding that is normal during late pregnancy is the bloody show but this would be a mucus type consistency. my "bloody show" was at eight months and everything was okay. if you are in premature labor (before 37 weeks) unless your membranes have ruptured, the dr will most likely stop the labor.
maybe you have an infection. either way i'm glad you are going to see your dr just to be sure.

yea my last pregnancy that happened lol and now i have a healthy happy 4 year old!!! They kept me in the hos and ran TONS of tests and ultrasounds and never really found a cause for the bleeding. Except i had enough bright red blood to soak through a pad. i was about 30 weeks when it started and i delivered about 37 weeks......Things will be just fine :) GOODLUCK on your baby!!!!

Sorry I don't know if it is normal, but if it went away completely, then it should be it is okay. I had pink and a little red spotting in my eigth month and everything was fine. I was told I had bloody show and lost my mucus plug.

could be the 'bloody show" i'd call your doctor for verification; or it could be a bacterial infection; or urinary infections have been known to have bright red blood too... but i would definately make that phone call to the ob/gyn. even if it is nothing it's better to find out then to sit and worry about it. right? good luck!! :)

i had bleeding late in pregnancy. very late the last week i was pregnant. it was the star of labor. i had lost my plug and this bleeding was called the bloody show it was like a period. turned out i also was haveing a placental rupture

Could be your mucous plug. (It comes out before contractions/labor begin) Need to go to doctor asap to verify though.
