If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.

if you are running windows xp,pro or home.you can go into control panel, components and maintainance, then sysytem, then click at the top on hardware.then when that opens click on device manager at the top.any conflicts you may see next to your listed devices will have red ar yellow marks near them.you can click on each of the devices to see if there are any conflicts and use the reinstall driver,or install new driver and so on.also if you are looking for drivers for dvd.try {old apps.com} i was missing a decoder for mine and i found it there ,power dvd.they are all free to download there too.good luck.

Restart the computer and hold down F8 to start in safe mode and see if there is anything you can do there to fix it. Or first you can go to control panel > system > device manager > and see if your dvd is there. If it is delete it and then restart the computer and it should it be there. Or you can try to do a system restore.
