depends on your state. if you're legally old enough to withdraw from school, then you can't be arrested for trauncy. for some states the drop out age is as young as 16.

Truancy depends on the state where you live. A truant is one who does not attend school during the mandated schooling ages. Mandatory schooling generally begins at age 6 and goes until age 16, 17, or 18. Your local public school can give you the exact age or you can visit your states department of Education website.

In West Virginia, the PARENTS can be fined or even jailed if they do not make their children go to school. I mean, kids are given detention and whatnot, but, ultimately, it IS the parents' job to make sure kids get to school.
