A very hot/boiling non iodized sea salt solution and soak the jewelry for 10 minutes (per cup of water use 1/4 teaspoon of salt). Let it cool, dry off the jewelry with disposable paper towel, wipe with a small amount of alcohol and if you don't plan to wear them right away, place the earrings in pairs into clean, plastic bags to keep large amounts of germs from building up. Then before you wear the jewelry, wipe again well with alcohol, insert the jewelry and use a 5 minute sea salt soak on your ears to flush out anything you may have missed.

Rock or sea salt dissolved in boiled (and cooled obviously) salt water (not table salt because of the chemicals).
1/4 teaspoon of salt in 8 ounces of clean water.
Using alcohol will dry out your ear when you wear the earrings and just think of all the chemicals in disinfectant that with end up in your ear.

my ears are the same way. my hair dresser told me to put clear nail polish on them first, let it dry obviously and then try using it. it works for me.
