Because I am a Christian and believe it's the time to celebrate Jesus's birth even though he was more likely born in April or September and the true date is a pagan king's birthday.

If I'm honest, it's because I'm dragged along by the big tidal wave of society! I'm well and truly sucked in by the ambient music, children singing, marketing skills of supermarkets and other retailers, pretty packaging, glitter etc etc. Yes it's lovely to spend time with the family but for me because I work shifts and end up working a lot of Christmas anyway (I haven't got kids yet) I'd rather just arrange a different weekend in the year to get together with my family, exchange small gifts and have a special slap up meal! I think the nation's gone crazy with the whole spending thing and putting pressure on ourselves to make the whole thing perfect! I'd rather keep it simple myself!! When I have kids I expect I'll enjoy it much more, but for now, I'm glad when January comes and we can all get back to normality!!

I love watching people unwrapping my presents and see the happiness on their faces. And it's cool to be together having long conversations and telling old stories and jokes and playing board games. For me it's a great reason to celebrate.

I don't. I'm a complete misery.
Why spend money on useless tat like Santa socks, and reindeers that glow, when you could be in the pub enjoying yourself!

Because I feel guilted into it. Everybody else celebrates, and it's hard to avoid when you say "don't get me anything," and people still get you something. I don't believe in Jesus.
