Yes ur probably able to concieve. It matters mostly when you ovulate not ur period. If you want to know when you ovulate, ask your doctor about an ovulation chart. You fill it our for one month and it will plot your ovulation time. That's the best time to get pregnant.

Your still young and healthy enough I would assume to conceive. So your best bet is to start tracking your cycles. Keep notes, and here is the best way to prepare:
www.fertilityfriend.com - you can use this website to track your bbt (basal body temperature) which will help you in knowing when you ovulate.
Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor - is truly worth every penny because it helps you in knowing when you ovulate and remembers your cycles for up to 6 months so it gets pretty accurate at determining ovulation, but its costly. So a cheaper way to go would be the CBE home ovulation tests w/ the smiley face as a result.
Preseed when you are ovulating (preseed.com) - it helps the sperm get where they need to go and you can read the success stories from this product alone along with other conception aides @ www.twoweekwait.com.
Some other helpful websites are babyzone.com, babycenter.com, webmd.com. Well educate yourself and pay attention to your body! Don't stress and it will happen! Good Luck!

Its possible to get pregnant with irregular periods. I got pregnant with my son while only having a period every other month.
I would however go see your doctor...the cause of my periods being like that was due to PCOS. I got lucky and concieved my son without trying and not needing meds (I didnt know I had PCOS at the time).....but it took me almost 3yrs to concieve my daughter.

You should consult an OB/GYN and see if they can put you on birth control to regulate your periods. This may take only a few months. After they become regular you can go off the pill and become pregnant almost immediately after quitting the pill.
