the above answers should answer your (homework?) question. also bear in mind that some events in many texts are based on autobiographical/the author's own experiences even though the text is not written in the autobiographic style defined above.

One indication will be that it's written in the first person "I". Usually books will say so on the cover, too.

The primary one is that it is written by the person it is about. Hence the word auto.
ANother is that it is in the first tense.

When it is written in the first tense. ("I" "ME", "MY" etc.)
