BY FAR. You know what the product looks like before you start cooking it, know just how its cooked and handled in the kitchen. You just know everything about your meal, and your kitchen.

I work in a restaurant, and I have been told in sanitation classes that eating in a restaurant is safer to eat at because everything is sanitized and cooked to the proper temperatures. Restaurants train in sanitation and people in their homes aren't. We throw away salad dressings every 48 hours, while my grandparents have stuff in the fridge that's scary!!

I bet that the safest place to eat is in a food service employee's home!!

Hmmm, statistically, no, I think not. But that because too many people don't know how to handle food in a sanitary manner.

If you don't know how to cook, then no; eat in a restaurant.
Otherwise, you may get food poisoning.
