like this past season they were HIDEOUS!!!....i think they had it right a few years ago when the they got screwed out of the national title game, the same year that the buckeyes played miami i think.

they are sponsored by Nike, granted lots of places are. However Nike started as a track shoe company out of the university of Oregon. they made shoes that pat prefontaine wore

They draw attention, and they get the latest innovations in material and fit. Believe it or not, the athletes generally like them and the attention it brings.
This year was especially bad...

because one of NIkes cheif execs is an alumn...he also donated the money to build theyr crazy @$$ state of the art locker room and training facilities...
