Alright, so I've got this little problem but it's an annoying one. I've just got the first season of Grey's Anatomy on dvd from my dad, the thing is I already bought it like three weeks ago, which means I have to return it. But (there's always a but) there's no more plastic wraper around it anymore and no more price on it, seen as it was a gift, I do still have the ticket with the price, date, name of the bought item and all, my dad just bought it this afternoon and I'm bringing it back next thing tomorrow.
My question now is, will they take it back? Seen as it is unwraped and all. I really hope they do. I mean it's never been used, none of the discs have been touched or anything...

I need an answer because I'm kinda worried about if they don't...(By the way I live in Belgium so it might be different from country to country, I do still appreciate any input I can get)

Thanks :)

1.Do you have access to a shrink wrapper?

2.Or some plastic wrap used for wrapping food and an iron for clothing along with a hairdryer.

1.If you know someone with a job that uses a shrink wrap machine, you could have it re-sealed and then just tell them you peeled the pricing labels off...

2.With the food wrap, lay a sheet of it on a towel, lay the cd package on top of it, and another layer of plastic wrap. With the iron, carefully seal the plastic as close to the box as you can. Once finished, Use the hairdryer to shrink the wrap tight (waving the air from side to side.)

Practice on a small item that you don't need before trying to shrinkwrap the cd box. That way you can figure out how hot to have the iron and the hairdryer.

3. Go to a different store from the one you bought the cd. Give them a "What if..." story. Ask them if they would take a cd back in those circumstances. If so, then try YOUR store.

Good luck!

In the US they do not allow you to return or exchange even unopened CDs or DVDs - at least that's the policy of most stores where I've bought these items. If you can't return or exchange it, maybe you could give it to someone else for a gift? Christmas, birthday, etc. I know some people shudder at the idea of re-gifting, but in this case, I don't think it would be a bad thing at all. You could always keep it - never use it and maybe one day, it will be worth something. With technology moving as quickly as it has, who knows, in 10-20 years DVDs may be obsolete and it would be worth a lot. I have old Sega and Nintendo games that grow more valuable every day! A friend of mine has old Atari games that are worth a mint now.

Hope this helps!

i know iN US you can't returned opened items like movies, games or cds. my suggestion either sell it, give it to someone else or find someplace to shrink wrap it for you , i use to work in a video store with a shrink wrap machine and we use to shrink wrap things for ppl.

Maybe you could try calling the store to ask. Couldn't hurt.

If they don't take it back you will just have to give your extra copy to a friend.
