A good wool or wool blend. They are warm, and easier to care for than cashmere or leather.

A smooth, medium weight flannel full front zipper job by Caribbean Joe. Old Navy might have something similar in weight and design. Get two. One for goofing off in, and one to go out in. You'll never regret it!
