My local best buy has told me they will get a "limited supply" of nintendo wii on sunday. He also said they will be given out on a first come first serve basis. The store opens at 9 am. What time do you think I need to be there in order get my hands on one??

the truth of the matter is they already have the Wiis and are holding them until Sunday. My best buy does the same thing so I have to assume they all do.
Since it's the holidays, get there a hour or so early and wait in your car unless you see a line. I don't think it is common knowledge that they will have them on Sunday so it might not be a fiasco.

I work at Best Buy and on Sunday when it is on the advert, it is best to either get there the night before if you want to be nearly first in line. If you can't manage that, be there at least 5 hours before the store opens. Last time it was on ad, it said Minimum 15 per store and we got nearly twice that. The boss gave out the tickets an hour before opening, and that was that. There were alot of people hanging about waiting in the hopes that the first people who scored a ticket for some reason would not be able to buy the system, but on that day, all systems sold fast.

On Sunday, November 26th, my Best Buy got 63 wiis. They opened at 10, I was in line at 8. . .I was number 60, so I just barely got in. So I'd say show up at 5 or 6 if you want to be sure. If there's a line, get in it; if not, have some breakfast, stay warm, and come back later.

Depends on how advertised it is. My Wal-Mart got them in on Tuesday of last week and 30 people waited for 30 Wiis for 12 hours- and that was a weekday! However, Wal-Mart put this in the paper. I would get up to Best Buy about one hour before they close on Saturday and find a friendly employee that may be able to tell you some of the other customers' feedback.
I picked mine up at a local EB Games, who knew they were getting them in on Friday or Monday. I waited for 45 minutes on Friday and was 4th in line for one of nine units. Try calling around to some of the smaller stores before you break out the portable coffee maker and grill.
