Last Wed I went to the doctor and she said she would schedule me to be induced on my due date...Fri 15. I have not been feeling any pain or anything. I go back to the doc tomorrow and I guess then she will tell me when I need to be at the hospital on Fri. 3 more days and I get to meet my little girl! Anyone else ever been induced...what was your experience with that?

Congrats! I was induced for my first pregnancy. My duedate was a Thurs. or Fri. and if I didn't go into labor over the weekend, I was to be at the Dr. on Monday for my routine checkup. Well, protien was discovered in my urine and was sent to be induced! I was so excited and even being just 3 days overdue- my babys rent was up! lol At 6:00 that night, poticin was started. I slept through the night, then at 6:00 that morning, they broke my water, and by 6:45 I had my baby! I hear that with induction, contractions are stronger, and I have to agree. I have a high tolerance and I was crying in between my contractions at 4 cm. I got the epidural at 5 cm and it was smooth sailing after that! Congrats! How Exciting! I'm currently 16 weeks with baby number two:) I would like to go into labor on my own this time, we'll see how that goes! Good Luck:)

I started labor and then stopped but had to be induced because I was leaking amniotic fluid. The Pitocin or whatever it is called will make the labor happen rapidly and I would suggest a pain killer. They gave me a light pain killer that allowed me to sleep and then when the pain started, I was dilated far enough to get the epidural. I only felt the true pain of labor for 45 minutes while waiting for the Dr to drive to the hospital to give my my epidural. They started my pushing slightly there after and made me quit because my son was coming and my Mid-wife wasn't there yet. He pretty much came out on his own after that and the Mid-wife turned just in time to catch him. So I'd say the inducing was wonderful. Some people'd bodies don't accept the inducing liquid, so know that it is possible. Best of luck!

My body doesnt like to go into labor, or it will start and then stop. So I was induced at the hospital with both of my children. Its fine honestly. You go in and they will start you on the pitocin ivy... it all goes from there. If you have any more questions just email me!

I went into labor naturally..however I got stuck at 4 cm and had to be induced with both of my boys! It made the contractions super strong and closer together..and sped up the process! Hope you have a safe & easy delivery..GOOD LUCK & CONGRATS!!

my mom was induced with me, does that count? She said that I wasn't ready to be born because I kept curling back up into a ball after each contraction.
