I am 35 weeks and 3 days pregnant and for the last 2 nights I have had really bad back pain in the middle of my back. It kinda feels like contractions but I didn't think that they could be so high up. Anyone have any idea what could be going on? The baby is still moving like she usually does but if it happens again tonight I am going to go to the hospital.

When that happened to me at that point in my pregnancy it was my baby moving down, and twisting and turning down there. It could deffinately be contractions though, at least braxton hicks. You do tend to get a lot of Braxton hicks at night time because your body is calming down from the stresses of the day. If you have an extreme amount of backpain it means baby is most likely going to try at least to present itself sunny side down (face down). That creates a TON of back labor and is intensly uncomfortable. My third baby finally turned around to present sunny side up....felt so much relief!!

There is no set area for contractions, they may be Braxton hicks contractions, congrats!
