Solution made by dissolving 6.73 grams of toluic acid in 110 grams of benzene ( f.p. = 5.45oC, Kf = 5.07oC/m) gave a freezing point of 3.00 oC. What is the calculated molecular weight of toluic acid form this data?

ΔTf=i*Kf*m
There is no dissociation in benzene (the slovent is non-polar) so i=1.
m=molality =moles solute/ Kg solvent
but mole=mass/MW
so m=mass/(MW*G) where G is the mass of the solvent in Kg

thus

ΔTf= i*Kf*mass/(MW*G) =>
5.45-3 = 1*5.07*6.73 / (0.110*MW)=>
MW= 5.07*6.73 / (0.110*2.45) = 126.61

Call some friends over and urinate over your clothes and make it some sort of event/accomplishment in your life.
