I have my nose pierced and I did a lot of research beforehand. In rare cases if your nose got infected or you got like keloid scars or something, your nose could end up funky. I've had mine pierced for about 8 months and I love it. I suggest researching what they do, what you need to look for, and for a good clean place in your area. I'll warn you- it hurts to have someone jam a needle in your nose, lol. But good luck!

It won't change the form of your nose unless you get a large gauge piercing. It also won't close up completely because it's being pierced through cartiledge so make sure you know you definately want it done (although the mark is tiny even before the hole has closed up if you get the smallest guage possible)

. I don't know where you live but here (in the UK) you have to be 16 to get pierced without a parent's consent by law but most piercers won't pierce under 16's for anything other than ears. If I was you I would wait another year. If you're still sure you want it done then there is more chance of you not changing your mind soon. Also if you really want it you can wait a year. I waited until I was 16 for all of my non-ear piercings and I'm glad I did or I'd have a few more piercings done on a whim that I don't want anymore.

Anything else... erm. It doesn't hurt much but it can make your eyes water. Make sure you go toa reputable piercing shop (places that do tattoos too have tighter restrictions) and make sure you clean it regularly with rock salt dissolved in water (but not too much).

Your friend's mom is not telling a whole truth, rather a 1% truth. It is incredibly rare that anything bad will happen to where your nose will lose its shape or that the shape will change. She probably doesn't want you to get it, so she is scaring you.

Here's the deal, if you go to a certified and skilled professional body piercer, you should have no problems what-so-ever. If you have it done professionally with clean equipment and if you take good care of your piercing and keep it clean NOTHING bad can happen. I have been into piercings for years and I have never heard of anything worse than small infections (caused from not cleaning the piercing), keloids (lump of scar tissue caused by trauma to the piercing-getting hit in the face) or small scars (left when the piercing is removed). I have 26 piercings, a nostril piercing included in that and NEVER had a single problem with it.

Go to http://wiki.bmezine.com/index.php/Nostril for information about the piercing and call a local piercer in your area if you have questions about the procedure, cost and risks. The only way your nose might look weird is if you get the piercing at 14g or larger....and I don't think you would go for that.

So...the pointers: get it done by a professional with the proper jewelry and equipment, keep it clean. Plain and simple.

I had my nose pierced for years and never had any problems at all. My nose is the same as before. The hole never 100% closes up, but it's not noticeable, so I'm not concerned about it. It didn't really hurt that much and it was easy to care for. If I got a cold, I would just take it out every night and soak it in rubbing alcohol for a few minutes to kill the germs and put it back in. It never got infected and I loved it. I took it out when I graduated college cause I was kind of "over" it, but I don't regret having it done!

I have had my nose pierced twice on both sides actually. The only problem is now I can't keep it in for 8 hrs because of my job. It closes up easily. I guess my nose was big already so it didn' t change the form it gave me a different apperance which everyone liked except my mommy

I have been given my nostril pierced approximately 5 years in the past and it harm like hell! yet that replaced into purely on the time of the piercing. It replaced into throughout interior of 10 seconds, even though it replaced into sore for a good month after that. My first stud replaced into larger than i needed it to be, (yet although, all of them have been larger than i needed) even though it replaced into no longer something out of the conventional and it did no longer stick out like a sore thumb. You get to p.c.. out your guy or woman. I make my very own studs now because of the fact i like mine incredibly small and that i'm no longer able to looking any that are sufficiently small to my liking. I additionally like personalizing them contained in the colors i like, too. I have not got any concept how plenty it incredibly is contained in the united kingdom - I paid $40 contained in the US shop on with their instructions intently and don't eliminate it until they say it incredibly is ok to realize this. After it heals, you have the flexibility to eliminate it if mandatory for artwork, yet you do no longer opt for to leave it out for any long volume of time or it is going to close. i like mine! I have not got any regrets and that i'm just about 50 years previous! and that i've got truthfully no problems with boogers.

it doesnt permanently change. the shape will change if your stud is too big. if you get the correct size you'll be fine. thats just something to get you not to do it lol. if you really think you'll look good then go for it. it isn't very much. but think hard on if whether you would like to get a hole on your nose or not.

Do NOT get your nose pierced.... The only thing that should be pierced is the ears!! It will deform your nose. I got my nose pierced and it was the stupidest thing i ever did... I broke up with my boyfriend and it has been all downhill since then!!
