Here in Chicago, I would love to have him. Chicago needs a go-to-guy who can command a double team to free up their perimiter shooters like Hinrich, Nocioni and Deng.

I would get rid of Ben Gordon in a heart beat for Iverson. I would trade Gordon and next years first-rounder (not the possible knicks pick this year) for Iverson.

Yes, Boston.

The trade I want...

Philly gets:
-Sebastian Telfair
-Tony Allen
-Theo Ratliff (contract)
-2007 first-round pick

Boston gets:
-Allen Iverson

Judging at this point, Philly is desperate to trade for anything, and this would be perfect for them. Tons of young talent in Telfair and Allen and most likely a lottery pick in next year's loaded draft, as well as an expiring contract in Ratliff that would help them free up space.

His style of play requires 4 other very unselfish, hard nosed defenders to be on the court with him, which is why the 2001 sixers team went to the Finals.

He gambles. He jacks up shots (and he only has a .431 lifetime shooting average). He plays passing lanes, so when he over pursues he becomes a huge liability on defense.

And he doesn't believe in team chemistry or practice.

I watched the Sixers trade Charles Barkley, become the laughing stock of the league, I watched Jerry Stackhouse throw a fit because he didn't get to shoot the ball with A.I. on the court with him, and I've watched A.I. jack up a three (.210 lifetime 3-pt average) with 19 seconds left on the clock with four other sixers standing around.

He's like Stephon Marbury but with an ego not as big.

I love my Sixers, I love A.I. (stepping over Tyronne Lue in game one of the 2001 finals, still get shivers) but the Bulls don't need A.I.

The two questions you ask, always.

1) Is he a superior athelete? Yes.
2) Does he make everyone around him better? History says no.

And just as an update, after trading Ratliff for Mutombo, the Sixers were a .500 team for the rest of the season, and the next season they were a .500 team.

Eric Snow, Theo Ratliff, Aaron McKie, Tyrone Hill, George Lynch, Raja Bell and Jumaine Jones were the lock down defenders A.I. had that season. None of them scored, just defended.

Despite being a hard-core Spurs fan, I have loved Iverson since his days at Georgetown. That being said, I don't think there's a deal to be had in San Antonio, nor do I think he would fit our system. Since his trade demand, I've been thinking about possible scenarios for the deal, and I think your move to Chicago could benfit both teams. Philly would be getting a talented young star whom they could start re-building with and Chicago would get the offensive catalyst to compliment Ben Wallace. I think Wallace and Iverson would make a great duo as Iverson would once again have a huge defensive weapon beside him that he hasn't really had since Mutombo briefly in '01. I would love to see your deal happen.

Trade T-Mac (I'm from Houston) a 2nd round pick, and a future 1st round pick for Allen Iverson....

Here in Detroit, yeah we'd love to have him, but it ain't gonna happen. the sixers approached Joe D and asked him to give up Billups and Hamilton for AI. That's just too much. The most I would give up would probably be maybe Hamilton, but not both.
