There is no Verizon free incoming calling plan, but most plans include free unlimited in network Verizon to Verizon calling.

Some Verizon plans allow in-plan calls (calls from/to other Verizon callers) to be free and not charged minutes.

I think almost all carriers had a plan like that at one time. Whether or not it's currently offered is another question. It would be safest for your friend to call Verizon customer care and ask the details of his plan.

Some cell phone companys offer free incoming calls, usually if you are a new customer and it's usually only for a limited time.

he should be happy.. that's great, mabye he has a plan where he can talk to verizon customers free or mabye he has free incoming calls. i have nextel and i have free incoming, free walkie talkie, and free sprint to nextel customers.
