Probably b) harmony. Although something can be said for all of the choices.

The 20th century is where you begin to have a departure from the tonal idiom that was the ideal of art music in previous eras, such as baroque, classical and romantic. In the late romantic era, you can see departures from tonality and the traditional dominant to tonic cadence with uses of advanced musical language such as chromaticism.

However, it wasn't until the 20th century where composers made full use of atonality and did not rely on traditional harmonic progressions. You have composers like Schoenberg, who composed 12-tone and atonal music, or even composers like Debussy, who while still being tonal in a sense, relied more on colours instead of harmonic progressions for his music.

Oh man, I sound like a text book. A sad day for me indeed.
