No,it will happen that the USA will accept people that are homosexual.Especially not if figures as Rosie speak their mind.
More will turn against than become pro us.
BTW:you voted for your own president right?
He is so against gays that state laws are changed:no more gay marriages or rights as a matter of fact.
Do you believe that African Americans will someday have the same rights in a country filled with bigots, because they are accommodated by their own government?
Hell no.
In my country thee first rule in our law book says:Each and everyone who is on Dutch soil, will be treated equally:what ever lifestyle they have, what religion they have, their race etc.
We over here voted for the right persons to protect our interests:gay can get married here under the same laws that apply to straight people.BTW:discrimination here against any one is forbidden by laws.
Do you believe this will ever be true in The United States.?No,never.
You over there believe more in war than protecting your own civilians.
Don't spend your taxes on your quest to bring the so called democracy to Muslim countries:do something for your fellowmen..
Greetings:Rob.xxxx

I think that would have been funny whether he were gay or str8 so I do not have a problem with it. Rosie may well find out like some other activists that when you jump on every flimsy bandwagon you start to lose credibility.
I fear that there will always be bias and bigotry in the US and around the world. The best we can hope for is to enlighten more people each day until we atleast have a sane majority.
Unfortunately there will always be people greedy for power and they will pit the weak minded against anyone that is different so that they can gain control and feel important.

As Kelly Rippa explained afterwards, Clay Aiken had just shaken hands with audience members, and it IS cold and flu season... that is ALL she was referring to - she was not referring to Clay's sexuality. This is a case of "much ado about nothing" and Rosie O'Donnel's misinterpretation of what Kelly Rippa meant. I think people will be people, and part of that entails not being perfect. I doubt America will ever go through a phase where everybody accepts everybody, and as an example I point to the world of politics.

If he's gay, that's his business. I may be wrong but I've never seen or heard of him publicly stating his sexual orientation. It's wrong for Rosie to stick her nose in and try to be an advocate for gay rights when it has nothing to do with her. No matter how open-minded people are, there is almost always going to be someone who disagrees with what someone says, does, or even thinks. This is supposed to be a country where freedom of speech is a right. Unfortunately, if your opinion differs from someone else, you're labeled a bigot, racist, sexist, etc. I think that the world is going to hell in a hand basket and that Rosie, for someone who is supposed to be gay, isn't the least bit happy anymore.

First of all, Clay should say sorry about what he did to that media figure.
About your question on US' social acceptance of people, my answer is yes. As they say it, America is a land for liberty for all people regardless of their culture, race, sexual preference, etc. US will always go through those social acceptance and integration since so many people from other countries go in the US.
Just remember the last line of the national anthem: "For the land of the free (which implies that the country will always be a symbol for liberty and acceptance)..."

I honestly don't think Kelly Ripa was calling him gay when she said that about his hand. I've said stuff like that to people before and I can assure you I didn't mean it because I thought they were gay. I think Rosie O'Donnell is trying to play this huge role in the homosexual community, because she finally came out, yet all she is doing is causing problems. She's accusing people of things they really aren't doing. I feel bad for Kelly and bad that Clay made the mistake of putting his hand over her mouth.

I think Kelly talks a lot, I think Clay went too far but that is not the problem. The problem was that he didn't apologize properly. Rosie into this whole mess because she wanted to. Kelly's remark was not homophobic at all.

No I don't think there will ever be complete social integration anywhere because people as a general rule are set in their beliefs and unwilling to change them. I know I am not going to compromise my values and beliefs just because society tells me to. I think most people feel the same way whatever their beliefs.

I think Kelly Ripa needs to take a couple shots of vodka & get laid. She's wayyy too highstrung for me. I mean, what the hell? Clay was just bein silly with her. She seriously needs to lighten up.
