Anyone under 18 cannot get any type of peircings without a parents consent. Where I live you cannot get ANY peircings (except for the standard ear peircings) if you are under 18. If you are 18 you have to have a parent until you turn 21. I had to go out of state to get my belly ring.

When in doubt, ask the shop doing the work. In Oregon, just to get a regular ear piercing, you don't have to have a parent or guardian present for it. For any other type of body piercing, if your not 18, no way Jose. Plus, its always a good idea to check the parlor doing the aforementioned piercings for cleanliness and for how well they are willing to answer your questions before you even decide to get poked. F.Y.I.: Other than earlobes, titanium, gold and/or surgical stainless steel work best for the majority of all other piercing sites. NEVER go with plastic!

Yes, or a parent must be present at the time of the piercing to sign papers and has to stay for the piercing procedure itself. Notes do not count...professional places will know if you are scamming them by using a friend or a strange adult.

I'm not sure. I've been to places where you only have to be 13 (with a parent). I personally had my mom do it. There are special guns that you can get that you have to be 18 to buy but then you can get your parent or guardian to do it. And it doesn't hurt either.

In my area you have to be 18 to get anything pierced, unless your parent or guardian is willing to sign for you that it is OK. They would have to go with you to have it done. I was 16 when I got my cartilage done, but my parents said it was OK.

I live in Tallahassee Florida and here you either have to have a notarized statement from your parents allowing it, or you have to be 18. That goes for piercings and tattoos. Hope that helps!

absolutely not but you have to have your parent come with you my best friend from church got hers peirced and she had her mom go with her and she was so happy but just be sure to do nice things for your parents and come up with the money yourself and be sure to show that you will do what you have to do like cleaning it
