Of course, those people with critical jobs may still need to show up, such as police and power station engineers. I am not suggesting that these services be stopped.

Imagine the impression we could make by simply NOT SHOPPING for one week! Nothing other than the most basic items, such as milk and diapers. No restaurants, no movies, no special sales.

Imagine the relief on our environment (albeit for one week). Wall Street would freak out. The US Congress might actually wake up from their overbloated slumber. Our bosses might threaten to fire us, but then they would have to fire EVERYBODY, assuming we could stand together.

I am not talking about a communist or socialist revolution of any kind.

I am talking about taking a stand against the greed of Washington DC and Corporate America. Greed is killing us.

We need to show those in power that we the people control the economy, our government, and our futures.

Good thought process problem being you wont im sorry you cant get that many people together to do a movement like this number two people want to spend and make more money right now thatn any other time of the year.....and if a frong had wings he would bump his *** every time he tried to jump

It'd be the 21st century's version of October 29th, 1929. The strikers wouldn't accomplish anything by demonstrating that they are capable of destroying our economy!

Bad idea. Not everyone is unhappy with their jobs and their employers.

Many of us are self-employed. I guess you could be too. Those "greedy corporate types" aren't stopping you.

Besides, who do you know that can go without pay for a week?
