I, as an American, hope and think what we do is "good", that being said, to be honest, it would depend if your our friend or foe. If your on a table being water boarded by the CIA I would assume you would think America is bad and evil. If you're an American citizen and you realize their has not been a terrorist attacks on our soil since 911 you think we've done what we had to do to survive. This question is a bit "loaded" it would depend on what side you're on. As an American I think we are doing the right thing, I have had to break a few eggs in my life, and I would like to think I did the right thing, many people can Monday morning quarterback my or my countries decisions but we do what we think is best at the time. After we make a decision we pray for the best and live with the outcome. America is good and we attempt to the right thing for the majority of our citizens.

I agree with Lilly, they are bad.

I believe this because although you are better off living in the USA than a third-world country, I still think the USA is negative for the world due to pollution, and there lack of respect for others on the world stage.

The USA does what they want, and what we benefit them, not what will benefit everyone else.

Who disagreed with NATO (who said there were no WMD in Iraq)......the USA.

Who didn't sign the Kyoto acccord....the USA

Who has some of the poorest education levels in the developed world......the USA

I'm trying to rag on the USA but I feel the need to back up my belief that the USA is bad.

And when I say bad...I mean there is definite room for improvement. Not a waste of space, crappy country, with morons for citizens, just that it needs imporvement.

I believe the concept and basis of the US is very good, but right now we are not living up to it. We have atrocious foreign policies that make people hate us.

I believe we would be much better if we'd mind our own business. Why do we always have to be in the middle of everything?
