I'm confused as to the question.
If you bought the car new, Kia has a 10 year 100K warranty on their vehicles. If you bought the car used, this is not the case as their warranties are not transferable.
So if you purchased the car new, had it properly serviced, and it's under 100K, then Kia should honor their warranty.

You drove it too hard. It couldn't take it. The Rio is an economy car to begin with and it is also a throw away car. When you wear it out, you throw it away. I bet there was well over 100,000 miles on it, wasn't there. All I can tell you is start looking for another motor with low miles.

if u had all the oil changes done at 3k miles & all the maintence done properly the warranty is good for 100,000 mile or 10years which ever comes 1st. & the warranty is not transferable, it goes to 5 years 60,000 miles when sold.
