Contact an Attorney!
Identity theft IS a crime!! (Havent you heard it on the National News lately? People are being prosecuted for this nonesense!!!)...
Its hard, because Police dont want to become involved, but, try contacting your State Attorney General and see if anything can be done...(This may get the ball rolling on the Police also!)...
I wish you well..

well as far as i know, my sister forgot her purse on the bus once and she got it back, but the wallet was stollen and she had her SIN and everything in there. She cancelled everything but couldnt do anything about the sin number. Last night the guy tried to use her bank card again after like 2 months and so they froze her new one too.
but back to yours. that is crazy that she did that! its deffently a crime and you need to report identity theft for your cards and your sons names. she is a very sick person and needs to see the light, through the bars in the jail house. Contact the credit card people as well and see if they can freeze all of the accounts that you know about until they cheak it out and catch her.
good luck!

You have to contact the Federal Trade Commission. Here are some helpful websites: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/microsites/idtheft//
http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/credit/idtheft.htm
You may also want to sign up for a credit monitoring service so you can see what else she may have put in your name.
