We went away for a couple of days (my sister took care of them) and when we came back our newborn baby was dead. It's been a few days and we went to feed them and the smallest adult looked really sick. I stayed up late and tried to make him feel better. We live in a small town and we couldn't find an emergency vet. I made him comfortable and went to bed and in the morning he was dead too. We have two more and I am terrified they will die too. Please help I have read all I could and I don't think we are doing anything wrong. Any ideas?

look up on the net for a breeder and try emailing them. i have a glider but im not an expert.
separate the gliders and try wiping them down with baby wipes *keeping them warm*
give them lots of clean water and food, plenty of fruits and veggies. if they dont eat some fruits or veggies try going to the store and buying a jelly called
'simply fruit' and feed a small spoon full of that *too keep there energy up*
put a heating pad under them so they stay warm.*not to hot but not to cold*
i wish you the best of luck with your gliders.

I'm so sorry you've lost two of you babies, you must be devastated! It almost sounds like they were dehydrated, cold, or they got into something poisonous. They are allergic to anything in the mint family, so if mint leaves, catnip or marijuana got near them this could cause fatalities. If it happens that they are dehydrated, it is extremely difficult to rehydrate them unless you get to a vet that can administer something called a sub-Q injection. I've never had to do this so I do not know if an ordinary vet can, or only exotic vets have this. Take your babies to the nearest vet if he/she is willing to at least see them - sometimes they are able to contact another vet via phone to help with exotics they aren't familiar with. Good luck, I hope things work out!

What did your sister do to those poor creatures??
Take the remaining two to a vet who specializes in exotics and get them thoroughly checked out.

Clean their cage, put fresh food & fresh water in the cage. Make sure they have access to everything.
Ask your sister if she gave them anything out of the ordinary, or if they seemed stressed.

They are australian creatures - try and get some eucalyptus leaves, or go online and find out what their favourite meal is... It's not something simple like their water bottle is blocked, is it?

You shouldn't have them as pets.
