Your courage to ask it proves that you aren't dumb at all! Yes generally it's on the 25th of December, but I've heard that in some countries it's not. I think the X'mas on 25th December is the most celebrated. Anyway, Merry Christmas! =)

Yes, that is Christmas Day, but Christmas Eve is on the 24th, also calanders ALWAYS have the holidays marked on them already, I'm really not trying to be mean, just helpful, you might try buying a calander and then you will know when all of the major holidays are.

JUST three days before Christmas 1993, Pope John Paul II acknowledged that the celebration of Christmas is not rooted in the Bible.
Regarding the date December 25, the pope admitted: “On that day in pagan antiquity, the birthday of the ‘Invincible Sun’ was celebrated to coincide with the winter solstice.”
“In other words,” wrote journalist Nello Ajello in La Repubblica, “someone had Jesus born on an imaginary, fabricated, false date.”
A press release from the Vatican stated: “The festival of Christmas appeared for the first time in 354 [C.E.].”

Christians celebrate it on Dec 25th. That is the date it was moved to when the Roman Church wanted to convert Celtics and other pagans who celebrated the winter solstice. The orginal birth of Jesus happened in April-May timeframe.
