Try using the FireFox browser. It has an excellent downloader built-in. There are also several add-on's available that may give you what you are looking for.
The browser and the add-on's are free.

get a peer-to-peer shareware program and you will be able to get almost any program you want for free and it will be the full up to date version.
i recomend frostwire, just watch out for viruses. all of them are a 197.7kb file so dont download those
