Things are collectible when they are rare. They produced a bunch of these, but if you can get your hands on a game used ball, it might well be worth something.

Maybe 20 years down the road it might be worth something, Right now that synthetic ball cost around 100 bucks so if you got money to burn and have the ball sitting around the house serving no purpose then do it. Try to get it autographed then you got yourself a collectable

I agree with the previous guy, if you can get your hands on a authentic game used ball (I hope you can grip it), then its a moderate collectible. Otherwise its just another ball.

Sometimes teams have auctions where they sell game used things, other teams have fan conventions after the season, and there's plenty of game used equipment there.

I used to work at Dick's Sporting Goods and I didn't see any of the microfiber balls for sale early in the season, so it may not be too common, but make sure if you buy it from someplace other than a team, that its authentic and you have something to prove it.
