Im willing to pay for my downloads but which one is the best as far as library, safety, speed and cost? Thanks

Depends on your tastes. I personally use emusic. That service is geared towards independent record lables, though, and doesn't carry any music from the major labels. That's fine for me because I don't really listen to much music from major labels, but if you're looking for the latest hip-hop singles or music from Mariah Carey and stuff like that emusic won't have it.
If you do like indie music then they charge a monthly fee, either $10, $15, or $20, and you get a certain number of downlads a month. For $10 you get 30 downloads, I think. Something like that. Anyway, the files are mp3s which is good and it is much cheaper than iTunes store.

I personally like Bearshare and Morpheus. They're both free and pretty quick with my high-speed. Both have large libraries, but I believe both also have dataminers. I run ad-aware though, so that takes care of any malware.

If you are paying for it and you have windows media player in your computer I think they have a parnership with napster. but I am sure there are other places out there.
