Well I'm int he Dutch country right now and it is so peaceful here.You can get off the train or bus and don't have to worry about being attached.It isn't like the US because here they have restictions.Like if you live here you have to speak the language.You have to go through a process not like the states.

America has been 'unsafe' since humans lived here . . .
The native people had conflicts, more occurred when the euros arrived and only for a few isolated moments have people experienced total peace.
There have been wars and personal violence, both in families and out (like gangs, rapists and serial killers) for centuries.

"safe" is a relative term. Try living in Iraq for a while.
