EXACTLY. We do not know. And people are sooooo quick to just swallow anything that ANYone stuffs down their throats without investigating and asking questions and applying a little brain power to it. Now i believe in GOD 100%. But God did NOT write the bible. Man did. And we all know man is capable of LYING, HIPOCRISY, FALSIFYING EVIDENCE, COLORING THE TRUTH and just plain out TALKIN S.HIT! So no one knows whats is really truth in the bible and what is man made fiction. If the bible wasn't such an old document and was just recently published, would everyone still believe every word in it??

A lot of te translations in the bible are wrong. Men altered the bible to suit their liking. The bible has been written and rewritten so many times we don't know what the original says.
I don't think that there is anything wrong with being gay, what the bible says now is wrong.I guess a long time ago everyone was a bunch of homophobes.

Actually, it IS mentioned in the Bible. God was quite specific about how He felt about it. I agree that people are not born gay; it's a learned behavior. Leviticus 20:13 1 Corinthians 6:9 Genesis 19:4,5

The Bible was translated many, many times before it got to our day and age. Not to mention the whole leaving out other books just because the person compiling it didn't like them... But anyway, there's no way to know if some homophobic monk didn't decide to put his own thoughts in place of something else, or perhaps he mis-translated. We'll never know for sure.
I refuse to believe God would hate someone He created. He made homosexuals just like he made heterosexuals, so I don't see why He would make something He hated.

That is a great question! It is great because in it there is an opportunity to tell the truth about it.
The Bible does condemn Homosex. It's true, and by most people who study it, they cannot find a way to disallow it saying that.
BUT, there is more! ALL sin is condemned! So being a Christian does NOT have the prerequisite of being straight. That's true.
So what are we going to do; 'for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.'
That's why Jesus is so important to those who want to come to God! Those that know that there isn't any chance that they can change the way they are, Gay or straight, can STILL come to God by responding to the Gospel message of resurrection, and hope in Jesus Christ. It was the Pharisees of Jesus time that Jesus had strong words to say, and they claimed to live the Law of Moses.
IF they were so good at living the Law of Moses, what was it that made them so wrong in Jesus's view?
They didn't trust in God, and had no love for Him. They thought that the Law of Moses was the way into heaven. And Jesus was contiunually telling them:
1) that they were wrong.
2) that their view of themselves was evil, because they not only could NOT live by the Law perfectly, but they taught others to do it.
So we are NOt subject to the Law of Moses, but rather we are made perfect by faith. Remember Jesus saying, "your faith has made you whole." It is faith that is directed in God's direction, Jesus who provided the link between Him and us, that makes the connection for us to focus on.
So what I am saying is:
1) Trust is the key to connecting you to God,
2) What is and what isn't a specific sin is not important compared to trusting God.
3) If anyone is going to change ANYTHING about you, It's God's job, not mine to do it.
Please understand that I am telling you the truth.
Does it seem like truth to you? ( :

Do you understand what the word "faith" means? Faith is an overwhelming conviction that something is true. You don't need faith if you know something to be true, and what they are relying on is faith. So, no, we don't know that parts of the Bible or even the entire thing isn't something people just made up. But we also don't know that it isn't the true word of God. Some people have faith that it is the true word of God and that's what it comes down to in the end, their faith that it is. So when they say something in the Bible says a thing is wrong, it isn't that they know it is wrong according to God, it's that they have faith that it is.

Most are just differences during translation... "Sexual offenders" became "homosexuals" when the Greek words are removed out of context and misrepresented.
This may be long, but this chap sure did study the Bible:
http://www.godmademegay.com/Letter.htm
Some excerpts:
I Corinthians 6:9
King James Version:
9...Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate [malakoi], nor abusers of themselves with mankind [arsenokoitai], 10 Nor thieves..., shall inherit the kingdom of God.
New International Version
9...Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes [malakoi] nor homosexual offenders [arsenokoitai] 10 nor thieves...will inherit the kingdom of God.
Revised Standard Version--1952 edition:
9...Do not be deceived; neither the immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals [malakoi and arsenokoitai], 10 nor thieves..., will inherit the kingdom of God.
Revised Standard Version--1971 edition:
9...Do not be deceived; neither the immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor sexual perverts [malakoi and arsenokoitai], 10 nor thieves..., will inherit the kingdom of God.
Remember that the New Testament has been around for 2000 years, and the old? well, way longer...
