The Mp3 players should come with instructions for the specific model, but I know my younger brother has one and he downloads music from services like Limewire, Morpheus, and Bearshare (all are free, but include data miners that can slow down your computer). Once he has the songs he wants downloaded, he hooks up a USB cable (it came with his player) to his computer and software loads to guide him through the transfer process.

I have an account with Rhapsody and you can download music from there to your MP3 player. Just hook to to your computer and pick the type of player you have to download it to. Pretty easy. Also if you download music on the computer from a CD or something from your home you can put that on there too.

Your MP3 comes with directions and a cable. You plug that cable into your computer. Along with your MP3. After that go to your media player (it's a computer program) and click on the library and right-click on your songs and and choose send to and portable device. And that's it.

are they ipods? if they are, i can help you out.
if you are anticipating getting ipods, install itunes on your computer (free at apple.com) and start loading up your music. you can import hard copy albums you already own, or use the itunes music store to purchase music that way.
when you get your ipod, you connect a cord from the ipod to the computer and voila! the computer will prompt you to name your new ipod and ask you if you want to import this entire library you already have on your itunes program.
you can either send your whole library or individually choose which songs you want to put on there.

Depends on what type you are getting, most will come with a software program to do thius exact thing, if not it will come with instructions, espcially iPods, but if you get a different brand I would still assume it would come with soemthing to tell you how to do it all.
If anything, research your product on google o yahoo search.
