Science exists because Humans evolved to the point where the bacause answers of religion no longer satisfied the Human need to ask the question "WHY?".

interesting question =) I dont think anyone can really answer this question..I guess science is just a way of explaining many things which exist and go on in the world today. Scientific knowledge are based on a series of experiements identifying trends and relationships between certain things. I guess your question is similar to asking why does religion exist?

Science exists to clearly articulate the relationship, if any, between a cause and a possible effect of that cause. That wasn't so hard, was it?
