I notice that most of these questions are really attacks on the opposing party, FROM BOTH SIDES (yes both the left and right are very guilty of this). I see very few "REAL" political questions. What is the true purpose of it? Do you realize that statements and questions like that only make your arguments look weak? I am not against each side checking each other, thats how we keep a fair and balanced system going, but if all we are doing is insulting each other, how are things supposed to get accomplished?

David, there are so many Shiraz's it's impossible to know at this point who the real one is. I take them all as imposters now.

Well, both sides are right as well as wrong. Unfortunately, getting an admission from either side that the other may have some good ideas is nigh impossible. (nigh..love that word) This is more of a juvenile p*ss*ng contest to see who can inflame the other side. I mostly ignore them all unless I happen to wake up in a foul mood. I am pretty middle of the road in my view except where it comes to national defense and doing what I deem correct for America and I have a hard time picking through the cr*p to find nuggets of wisdom.

Don't expect it to change. As long as they aren't standing where one could reach out and snap their necks for being insulting turds, it will continue.

You're very right.

Purpose? I'm not sure.... Maybe it's as simple as by making fake profiles and using stupid insults they think people will like their party more.

How to get things accomplished? Look, this is politics in its finest. We have to get used to it because it seems like there will always be a Shiraz-type or a Sean-type or anything like those. Always.

You make a good point. Verbally attacking or denigrating others is a sign that the "attacker" has some doubts about his/her position and feels a need to bolster it with vitriol. The only thing it accomplishes is to make the attacker look desperate and foolish in the eyes of others. Always remain level headed, rational and serene.

Excellent point! I think they might start seeing the flaws in their own party. Might be a scary thought. On the other hand, do you know how boring this forum would get waiting for question if we didn't have the insulters and bashers while we wait to for a question.

Yes. But there are some people who use extreme methods to state their point. I won't mention a certain Shiraz.........oops.
