My friend is having a Christmas party and everyone has to dress as someone from a film...any ideas on costumes that are fairly easy to put together from home clothes or are easy to get hold of??
I have long dark hair if that helps, thanks for any ideas!

What about Lara Croft? Black vest, black shorts, plaited hair and a big pair of boots with a few toy guns etc. Easy peasy.

How about surprising everyone and wearing a wig to appear as Trinity from the Matrix... or go blonde and be Marylin Monroe.
Princess Leia from Star Wars - If you've got the length then play with it!
A Bond girl - not much imagination, true, but easy to put together.
Demi Moore's character from the second Charlie's Angels, or Lucy Liu's.
The Harry Potter films have a variety of characters.
Morticia Addams has been suggested already, but worth a go if you can lay your hands on a Goth outfit.

How about Morticia Adams? All you need is a slinky (preferably fish-tailed) black dress and just vamp up your makeup. Wear your hair straight and look as sexy and creepy as you can manage.
Its always hard thinking up fancy dress costumes, because you want to look authentic yet pretty. I had this same dilema a while ago. Good luck and enjoy the party!

how about mortisha adams? all you need is black clothes. Have a look on ebay there are loads of costume idears and some are fairly cheap. Have a fun night, i'm off to a pirate themed new years bash. keep it fancy!

does it have to be film only?? If tv is okay I would dress up us Claire from heroes, the cheerleader. it's fun and an easy costume to get your hands on.

Robin Hood, Arwen/Eowyn from Lord of the Rings, a hobbit, Peter Pan, you could wear a wedding dress, 13 going on 30. etc.....find a movie you like.........and make something up......it's quite easy.........
