I'm about to take my behind-the-wheel driving test and I really hope I pass. Any tips?

The absolute thing you do when you get in the car is buckle up. Then make sure your instructor is buckled up too. Once you get your license, if you get pulled over with passengers who aren't wearing seat belts, you get ticketed for it.

Next, adjust your mirrors (rear view and side) before starting the car or you may forget and you don't want to adjust them while driving. Looks bad.

Give yourself lots of room to brake. Use the 3 second rule - follow behind someone 3 seconds and don't tailgate. When you brake, don't slam on it. When you stop, if your back leaves the seat, you stopped too quick. And when you pull up behind someone, if you can't see the bottom of their rear tires, you are too close.

Turn the radio off. No distractions, and the person I did the driving test with commented that it was smart of me to have done that before we got started.

Good luck.

do everything by the book. Dont try to improvise even if u know what ur doing is safe. For instance, stop at a stop sign completely not partially even though u know there arent any cars comming. Parallel parking is a big one. Becareful with that. When ur pulling out of the parking spot, make sure to give ur indicator cuz sometimes ppl forget. When ur gonna make a three point turn, make sure u do that by the book as well. Dont try to make a u turn. Thats about it
GOOD LUCK!!!

Adjust the seat and mirrors first, then put on your seatbelt.
Make sure you use your signals and don't answer your phone.
You should already know everything else.
