It's not an ideal situation but I'm sure your baby will be just fine.
In my past, I went to a party and drank absolutely loads - not realising that by this time I was already pregnant with my first son. He turns 13 yrs old next year and has suffered no ill effects whatsoever.
Don't get me wrong, drinking alcohol during pregnancy isn't something you should be doing (and I stopped drinking as soon as I found out) - in this instance however, you weren't to know that you had been given alcohol, so it wasn't a choice you made.
Don't beat yourself up about it - just get your own drinks in future, at least that way you will know what is in them!
Enjoy your pregnancy and good luck.

Honey, no worries. I read on some baby sites when I was pregnant that you can drink one drink a day during your pregnancy and it won't affect the baby. One drink is equal to 1 12 oz beer, or 4 oz of wine, or 1 shot of liquor. Any more is more than one drink. Seeing as you spit it out-that's really no problem at all. A baby becomes troubled when the mother is an acoholic or drinks more than one drink every single day of the pregnancy. Hope that helps. Also, throwing up is part of pregnancy-it won't hurt the baby. Just make sure you stay hydrated afterwards by drinking tons of water.

You should be fine! I spent a weekend camping, having like 8-10 drinks each day before I knew I was pregnant (my period was due on monday, so no idea). I cried and cried to my doctor and told her everything. She said that early (within the first 4 weeks) there is little that can be done to hurt the baby. Plus, some women drink through out their pregnancy, and their babies are fine! My aunt was told to drink a glass of wine every other day, and she had healthy HUGE twin boys. Especially since you didn't consume much, you and baby should be fine! Congrats!

Dont worry you and your baby will be fine. I found out I was pregnant at 8 weeks also, and the weekend before i took the test I got completely wasted (I didnt even know i was pregnant). I was supposed to start the monday after i drank, and took the test on that next friday. So i was pregnant when i got drunk. I had a beautiful, healthy baby girl. Besides, you spit it out, so chances are none of it even got to the baby. Dont worry the baby will be ok. Good luck and congratulations!

You can relax--most doctors will tell you not to worry about any drinks you had before you knew you were pregnant, and I think this could fall under that category.
I understand the feeling of worrying about your baby, so definitely ask your doctor at your next visit--but since it's not as if you drank a gallon of hard alcohol or anything like that--you even spit it out--I can almost guarantee that you--and your baby--will be just fine.
Congratulations!

If you spit it out I wouldn't worry about it. Plus even if you swallowed some and you threw up after there wasn't even any in your system to hurt the baby.
I had a couple of glasses of wine before I knew I was pregnant and the doctor said not to worry I was too early in and it was a one time thing. (that doesn't mean drinking is ok)
Congratulations hun. I wish you all the best

First of all relax. Lots of women consume alcohol in the early stages before they know and it usually doesn't cause problems. Second, major problems with alcohol are only seen with frequent heavy use all through the pregnancy. Third, since you spit it out and threw up, only tiny amounts, if any, actually entered your bloodstream.
I would mention it to you Dr, but don't worry too much. It'll be ok.

if you threw it up, you're probably fine. That stuff doesn't last in your system for very long. and if it's not something that you do on a regular basis, you won't have any problems. There are plenty of people who find out they're pregnant, but a few days before that were out drinking and getting drunk. And the babies turn out fine.
Not that it's OK to drink during pregnancy, but 30 years ago, people were drinking AND smoking and there are lots of healty 30 year olds out there... so don't sweat one little drink. :)

At 8 weeks the baby has no placenta yet, its still forming and isnt functional, its still living off the yolk sac, which is not connected in anyway to your blood supply.
You heaved up everything you might have possibly drank, which is bound to be hardly anything at all, since pure alcohol (which was probably only hard liqure, and not pure) will have that effect on a person who doesnt drink it.
Dont repeat such a foolish thing, but as it is, theres little to no danger at all to the baby, it doesnt share your blood supply yet.

If you didn't ingest it you are more than likely just fine but if you feel the need ask your doctor about it. Most doctors will tell you 1 glass of wine a month is fine for you to have while pregnant. Well that's what my doctor told me with both my babies. Don't worry you probably just fine and congrats on the baby :).
