How about a trip to the spa, manicure, or pedicure? CDs, DVDs, books, something that goes along with her hobbies or collections? Dinner out on the town?

Definitely clothes or jewelry...Giftcards are great...don't get her a puppy though.. =) That's what I got already for Christmas from my b/f..and totally regretting it.
