Hi, Ankit. We, the people of India, are the products of our history. We were too much broad minded earlier. This good nature was misused by the foreign aggressors. We welcomed Ghaznis, Kushans, Greeks, Persians, Portuguese, French, Dutch, British and a host of others. What happened? They looted and plundered not only our wealth but also our good nature. Our culture, religion and educational system have been polluted. This kind of exploitation went on unopposed for centuries. The seeds of slavery were implanted in the minds of Indians to make them as ruled but not as rulers. The kind of democracy what we now are experiencing is new to us. Slowly we began to understand what we are, who we are and how we should be. The picture of India is changing. Because of globalization, India is gaining a place of importance in the economic map of the world. As you said, the narrow mindedness is still to be driven out but it takes a little time. It is not so easy to cleanse the dirt that is embraced our body and mind since centuries past. Let's achieve it soon!

indians are not narrow minded. indian never threw arybhatt or other scientist out of society because of there invention. but European people criticize newton for there invention and church throw him out of community.
indian always ready to accept new things man. they believe in there culture more that’s why they seems to be narrow minded.
but if we leave our culture then u c we become more character less then any other country.

I don't think Indians are narrow minded. And what exactly do you mean by being broadminded. If it is related to sexual aspects, I think Indians keep the humane values.

one cannot term it as narrow mindedness . it is rather showing regard to the general union of two souls and and uphold the relationship as a sanctified one for the betterment of the society as a whole. it is just like a qualitative responsiblity and disciplined way of living.

OK i am assuming you are not Indian. any culture can be close minded/ narrow mined. it just depends on the person. i am very open minded but alot of my family is close minded. i am from a white Christan American family.
remember, stereotyping makes you just as bad as those you are judging.

its all british rule fault...the muslims refugees in india,more and more peoples...india is going to recover soon with BRICS..since the loot and wealth that caused in many divide in india....
