Can the word "typo" refer to pushing the wrong button on a calculator, or does it only refer to typing words wrong?

I'd think only typing, since it is short for typographical error. A miskeyed entry on the calculator would be an input error or a miskey error, imho!

Typo =Typographical error; mistake in copy made by a word processor, printer, or typist when transcribing copy.

Although it has been commandeered to reflect any kind of typing error, it originally was for typographical erros with linoTYPE, when yo used to set the print by hand
